Preparing a State Return

You may wonder, “how do I file my state tax return?”.

With our website, the only information you need are your state withholding amounts. This can be found on your income statements such as your W-2 in box 17. We will use the income statements as well as your state info tab for additional information to manually prepare your state return.

If you are filing a current year taxes, your state return will be e-filed. However, if you are filing prior year state taxes, you will receive a PDF version. Then, you must download, print, sign and mail it to your state department of revenue. All mailing instructions will appear right on your account.

If your state does not have state income tax, you do not need to prepare a tax return. Click here for more information.
