How do I make changes after submission?

Prior year taxes

If you submitted your tax information to us, you can make changes to your account as long as you haven’t mailed your tax return to the IRS. However, if you have already mailed your taxes to the IRS, you will need to file an amendment (Form 1040X) with us to update your tax information.

Current year taxes

Similarly, if your taxes were already accepted by e-file from the IRS or state, you must amend your taxes. All amended returns must be paper-filed to the IRS/state. They cannot be e-filed.
