Can I find out which tax year I did not file?

In order to determine which tax year you did not file, you must contact the IRS and request your tax returns for the last seven years. You can reach the IRS at 800-829-1040 or go to the IRS.gov website to access an online account.

Copies of forms 1040 such as 1040A, 1040EZ, and 1040-SR are only available for this time period. After that, you cannot access them.
